Biography
Naka was born to a merchant family hailing from Thavnair. Her father runs a large commerce emporium in the city of Radz-at-Han. Her family is very conservative and doesn't believe that daughters, or women in general, should have ambitions of their own. This has caused a rather large rift between Naka and her father, who is the driving force behind those believes. Her mother is as much a victim of this misogyny as Naka is, and while they don't always get along, they care deeply for one another.Having always been seen as property, Naka has always been told she will be married off when it benefits the family, much like a business deal might. Her father is of the opinion that no good, well-off man will want a woman that has her own ambitions and ideals and has always tried to dissuade Naka from pursuing her own passions.Despite that, Naka has always had a passion for healing. She was not allowed to really leave the estate, always having been home-bound, so she learned what she could in the mansions library. She got a decent grasp on the basics and kept honing her skills with the limited tools at her disposal.Eventually, Naka and her father came to an agreement after a particularly heated argument. She would set out to really learn trading, to benefit the family in her own way. She would be in charge of one of their merchant ships, and have strict profit margins to adhere to. Her father set her up for failure, but she rose above and proved to be a very valuable asset to the emporium.She ended up settling in Mist, finding the route between Thavnair and Limsa Lominsa to be one of her most frequent ones. She now calls Mist her home, and only returns to Thavnair for more than trading when her family calls her home.During one of her travels in pursuit of profit, she picked up a male Au Ra along with her wares. They bonded almost instantly and are still together now. He taught her more healing than her books ever could, and she's eternally grateful to him for sharing his knowledge with her. Naka and Haalus now live together in their Mist residence, and mean the world to each other. She can no longer imagine her life without him, although she regularly has to pretend she's alone for the sake of her family.

Healing: Naka has a strong love for the healing arts, and is always wanting to learn more about the various schools of healing. If you're a healer, you'll likely have something to talk about that she'd find interesting.Childhood Trauma: Naka struggles severely with her past, and all the years she has lost by being raised the way she was. She especially has a sore spot when it comes to her father, and is likely to bond with people that have similar experiences with a parental figure.Hidden Dark Side: Naka has, on a few occasions, gotten in touch with a darker form of magic than healing. She tries to hide this side of her, and not many people know any details about these events. If you play your cards right, she could open up about this side of her.
About the Player
Thanks for taking the time to read Naka's carrd. She's very precious to me, and in many ways has become an extension of myself over time. That said, please remember that IC does not equal OOC. Any reaction she might have to an action your character takes, does not indicate a reaction I as the player have. I keep IC and OOC separate and expect you to do the same.I'm okay with either in-game and discord RP, or a mix of both. I'm more readily available on discord, but you can find me on either.
Preferences
I'm not overly picky when it comes to writing, but I have some things that I prefer to avoid.
1. RP overly focused on romance and intimacy. My character is monogamous and currently has a partner she's happy with. If it comes up it comes up, but know that she isn't going to be swayed your way in that manner.2. Dont assume things about my character. Dont assume the way she'll react, dont assume things about her past if you don't know. If you feel like your character should have knowledge that you dont, please just ask.3. I'm fine with darker themes, not a problem at all. However, please discuss them first. I like to know what I'm getting into before I'm suddenly in such a scenario, as some things could be triggering if I am not prepared for them.
